How Mould Remediation Must Be Done To Be Effective

5 Step Professional Mould Remediation Process

Step 1 - Identify Mould Affected Areas & Causes Using Advanced Technology

D&D uses our advanced technology to identify all areas affected by mould, this includes mould detection cameras, mould particle counters, moisture detection cameras and a thermography moisture camera. Our advanced technology allows us to also test the internal structures for non visible mould.

A thorough inspection checks:

Walls (inside and out)
Ceilings (inside & out)
Flooring (inside & out)

Step 2 - Mould Treatment Areas Are Isolated To Stop The Spread While Cleaning

When mould is cleaned, this causes mould spores to spread into the air, this could allow mould to spread throughout the premises. Airbourne mould spores can then be breathed in, making them far more dangerous. For this reason mould cleaning areas are sealed off and contents are covered to prevent spreading and contamination while cleaning.

Step 3 - Mould Is Cleaned Using Non-toxic Speciatly Cleaning Products

All affected areas are treated, this can include every surface, this may require working inside ceilings or going under the house to remove mould completely.

Step 4 - Filter Mould Spores From The Air & Reduce Humidity

D&D runs high pressure commercial grade air scrubbing technology to filter the stirred up mould spores from the air. Normal low pressure vacuums will not work for this process (often used). We also utilise commercial grade high pressure vacuums to target very specific areas of stirred up mould.

This proceess and equipment is a must for effectively making the air safe, lesser options should not be considered especially if you have children or elderly in the premises.

For atleast three days we leave the following equipment running to remove spores and drop the humidity.

Step 5 - Re-inspect & Test, Provide Post Inspection Report

D&D will revisit the property after the air scrubbers and dehumydifiers have finished. All mould affected areas are then re-tested to prove all mould is removed. We also test the enviroment to make sure the humidity and moisture levels are safe to prevent mould from returning.
